SPW Volunteerism: Community Service Event at Variety

Description
In celebration of National Volunteer Week and the Year of Volunteerism, SPW is bringing our community together to give back at Variety – The Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley. Founded in 1935, Variety enriches the lives of children and young adults with disabilities through educational, social, and vocational programs that nurture independence and confidence. Located on a 77-acre campus, Variety provides year-round programming for youth ages 5–24 with a range of physical and intellectual disabilities. This special Earth Day volunteer event will focus on maintaining and beautifying the campus. Volunteer activities will include gardening and greenhouse projects such as planting, transplanting seedlings, watering, and general garden cleanup, as well as light indoor and cabin preparation work including window cleaning, sweeping, and dusting. Refreshments will be catered by Variety, and all proceeds will directly support their programs. Tickets are limited to 60 participants.
Volunteer Choice
Please select your volunteer activity in order of preference. If you do not have a preference, please select “No Preference.” We will do our best to accommodate your first choice; however, please keep in mind that you may not receive your first preference due to availability and group needs.
Waiver
The waiver link will be included on the confirmation page once you complete your registration, as well as in the confirmation email sent to you. The waiver must be completed by April 15 in order to participate in the volunteer event.

To accelerate the advancement and expand the influence of women leaders of all professions and generations, strengthen our business community, and support the region’s non-profit organizations.

The Main Line Chamber of Commerce Cancellation Policy:
Event cancellations must be received prior to NOON three business days before the event to receive a full refund. No-show's and late cancellations will be charged the full event price. If you would like to send a substitute, you are welcome--please contact the Chamber at 610-687-6232.
